Ba'al and his host.
May. 26th, 2010 04:25 amWay back when Ba'al got his ass handed him by the underworld crime lords of Bete Noire. We got to meet his host! His host and his relationship with him is completely headcanon on my part. There is nothing in canon that says how he feels about his host. Or how his host feels about being his host.
Anyway, due to their injuries, Ba'al was forced to put all his energies into keeping them alive. He let his host take the wheel to get them help. Since then, I've expanded on his host and their relationship.
My headcanon for his host and where he came from. His host was formerly his lo'taur(most trusted human slave). These slaves are trained from birth to serve. In canon, one of his lo'taurs expresses knowledge that the Goa'uld are not Gods and it was his wish to one day become a host. I've expanded on this idea. I decided to add my own little touch to it.
So, I have it as: Ba'al's host was not just his lo'taur but he was also his lover. When Ba'al's former host became too wounded to heal on his own and it was uncertain if the sarcophagus would heal him, his lo'taur insisted Ba'al take him as a host instead. He passed from one host into the next via the mouth. That left no entry scar on his neck.
Another bit of headcanon I have with Ba'al and his hosts. I figured it would be neat if Ba'al's very first host was an accident. If he broke into the place where the symbiotes were kept and stole one. With the idea that implanting himself with a 'God' would make him powerful. The only way a human of that time period could become powerful.
Anyway. Due to the effect Bete Noire is having on Ba'al. His host has become more and more pronounced. Ba'al has become more willing to allow him to emerge.
